MEETING FORMER UT PLAYER – WEDNESDAY 6TH NOVEMBER
On the morning of November 6th, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Jack Draper back to UT. It was a truly inspiring experience, and we’re sure all the players relished the chance to hit with one of the sport’s rising stars. Jack’s generosity with his time and his honest insights left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
During the Q&A session, Jack shared deeply personal reflections on his journey to achieving his impressive high ranking. He spoke candidly about the sacrifices required and the determination it takes to succeed at the highest levels of tennis. His humility and openness made the session even more special, offering rare and valuable lessons for players and parents alike.

FRAN LOPEZ / UNSTRUNG CUSTOMS
Fran Lopez the owner and founder of unstrung customs is going to be coming in on Tuesday the 10th of November to give a talk and discuss about the different types of rackets and strings available to young players. Navigating this correctly can be a bit of a mine field, with their being so many different weights of racket, balance, swing weights etc. As well as the vast amount of different string options, Polyester/Gut/Synthetic Gut/Multifilament as well as the gauge differences. Fran has strung and customised many tour players rackets and so he will be invaluable in giving his insight into the best options for young kids to help them perform on the court as well as preventing injury.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
A reminder that ALL PROGRAMMES at UT will stop on the 20th of December for the Christmas holidays. The first day back in the new year will be the 6th of January
UT PRESENTATION ON “THE JOURNEY”
Following on from the insightful Q&A with Jack Draper, we felt it would be a great idea for us to do a presentation around the journey of a professional tennis player and the many hurdle and obstacles that have to be navigated along the way.
