The Junior Performance Programme is a specialised training program designed for junior tennis players who are committed to developing their skills and maximizing their potential. The program requires a minimum of two squads per week, which consist of a combination of tennis and strength and conditioning training.

The tennis sessions focus on developing the player’s technical, tactical, and mental skills required to compete at a higher level. The program is designed to help players improve their footwork, shot selection, and court positioning, among other things. The coaches work closely with each player to identify areas for improvement and develop a personalized training plan to help them reach their goals.

The strength and conditioning component of the program is designed to complement the tennis training and maximize the player’s physical performance. The fitness coach develops a customized workout plan for each player, which is based on their age, fitness level, and specific needs. The workouts are designed to improve the player’s strength, speed, agility, and endurance, which are all crucial components of successful tennis performance.

The fitness coach works closely with the tennis coaches to ensure that the training program is tailored to each player’s individual needs. By combining tennis training with strength and conditioning, the Junior Performance Programme offers a comprehensive approach to player development, helping young players achieve their full potential

I joined and have been a player at UT for 5 years. There are many reasons but I will list a few. Firstly, the academy provides a dedicated environment focused entirely on my passion for tennis. This enables me to improve my mental strength, become stronger in how I play and receive guidance from experienced coaches. Additionally, the bond among the players and coaches creates a supportive and motivating atmosphere where we push each other to excel. Lastly, the challenging training sessions at UT help me develop resilience, determination, and a strong work ethic, which I believe are qualities for both on the court and off the court.
